    Object styles, view templates, phase filters, rule-based filters, and annotation styles configured to work together at every level of Revit's graphics hierarchy. The printed set matches itself; graphics don't drift.

  3. Browser organisation

    Views organised by NCS discipline designators and numbering, driven through view types. A table of contents that scales with the project instead of collapsing into a scrolling list.

  4. Model organisation

    Phases, worksets, revisions, and a structured shared parameter set, configured at the template level where clean setup is still possible. Schedules pull real data because the fields exist before drawing starts.

  5. Content management

    The content every project needs and nothing that only some projects need: datum and documentation types, annotation types, and working wall, floor, ceiling, and roof types built as real assemblies. Typology libraries load separately.

Line weights follow ISO 128, text styles ISO 3098, and every view type carries its own view template. The title block runs to 20 consultant cards you switch on and off rather than redraw.

Most browser organisation schemes fail the same way: they work on the day they are set up, then decay, because staying organised depends on every person typing the right value into the right parameter on every view they create. Nobody does that at deadline.

Here the sorting values live on the view templates, not on the views. Create a view by picking its view type, and it inherits the template, the graphic standard, the default phase, and both sorting values at the same moment. It lands in the right discipline group, under the right view type, in the right order, with nothing typed by hand.

One honest exception: Revit exposes no browser organisation parameters on schedule templates, so schedules are the one place those two values are entered by hand. The template documents it rather than pretending otherwise.

ISO 19650 · Common Data Environment

Revisions that know what stage they are at.

ISO 19650 defines three states an information container moves through before it is archived. In most templates that lives in a spreadsheet, or in somebody's head. Here each state is its own revision sequence in the file, so ten work-in-progress revisions never make a sheet look like it is on its tenth issue to the client.

Alongside the number, each issue carries a suitability code saying what the information is authorised for, S0 through S4 for work in progress and coordination, A1 through A4 for permit, tender, construction, and record. The template also documents the seven-field information container ID that ISO 19650 expects on exported deliverables.

ISO 19650 requires a project to agree its own suitability codes in the BIM Execution Plan. The set above is the template's default, meant to be confirmed against the project.
